GOLDEN DOG

Késako Golden Dog??

It is a national ranking of FSLC competitors based on the 5 best results of the season. For each “Chien d'Or” race, a scale of points is awarded to all competitors, licensed or not, based on the best time between men and women (see FSLC Race Regulations – paragraph 9.3).
This scale is obtained by dividing the ranking obtained (rank) by the number of participants in the race, multiplied by 100. Example: you are 15th in a race where there are 55 runners you score: (15/55) x 100 = 27,272 points.

→ All participants are awarded points.
FSLC runners are classified by entity “same runner/dog couple”: if for example you do 5 races with 5 different dogs, you will be classified as 5 different entities. If you do 3 races with one dog and 2 with another, you will be classified as 2 entities.
For the same ranking (rank), the higher the number of participants, the more advantageous your scale: if you come 3rd in a race of 100, your result is 3. For a race of 50, your result is 6.
→ The winner of the Chien d'Or is the one with the lowest score by adding together the 5 best results of the year.

What's the point ??

It establishes a national overview of the performance of FSLC licensees. It makes it possible to detect selectable potentials for international competitions. It can make it possible to determine the order of passage on the races (the fastest first). A “Golden Dog” race is an additional advantage for an FSLC runner who can be placed at the national level, and it is an advantage for the race organizers since they are prized by licensees.
